一种生成宽带CP/LP OAM波反射型超表面设计

    A Metasurface Design for Generating Wideband CP and LP OAM Vortex Waves

    • 摘要: 文中设计了一种用于生成宽带圆极化(CP)/线极化(LP)轨道角动量(OAM)反射型超表面。通过调整线极化馈源的极化角度,超表面单元可以将线极化入射波转为圆极化反射波。其次,基于2-bit单元与OAM波生成原理,提出了可生成+1模式的CP/LP OAM波超表面。为验证该性能,制作了超表面并进行了试验。通过仿真、测量远场辐射模式以及近场相位和幅度分布,证实可以生成OAM波。在10.0 GHz~12.5 GHz频段,轴比(AR)均低于3 dB。因此,验证了宽带CP/LP OAM波的生成。该超表面有望提高无线通信系统的数据传输速率和抗干扰能力。

       

      Abstract: In this paper, a reflecting metasurface for generating the circular polarization (CP) / linear polarization (LP) orbital angular momentum (OAM) beams are designed. The unit cell can convert the linearly polarized incident waves into the circularly polarized reflected ones by adjusting the polarization angles of the linearly polarized feed. Then, based on the proposed 2-bit unit cells and principle of generating OAM beams, a metasurface for generating the CP/LP OAM beams with +1 mode is developed. To verify the performance, the proposed metasurface is fabricated and measured. Both simulated and measured far-field radiation patterns, as well as the near-field phase and amplitude distributions, have confirmed the generation of the OAM beams. Furthermore, the axial ratio (AR) is lower than 3 dB from 10.0 GHz to 12.5 GHz. Thus, generation of the wideband CP/LP OAM beams are validated. The proposed metasurface is expected to enhance the data transmission rate and anti-interference capability in the wireless communication systems.
