220 GHz高隔离度四路功分网络的设计与实现

    Design and Implementation of Four-way Power Division Network with High Isolation in 220 GHz Band

    • 摘要: 新一代太赫兹频段接收机正向多像元方向快速发展,针对220 GHz频段多像元接收机系统中本振功率分配的应用需求,文中提出一款高隔离度四路功分网络的设计,并基于数控机械加工(CNC)技术对模块实物进行性能验证。主要包括:3 dB波导型定向耦合器单元模块设计,基于其高隔离特性、构建出四通道功分电路平面结构;通过级联波导弯头等,给出满足2×2阵列接收机本振分配的垂直型四路功分网络;基于CNC技术实现该四路功分网络模块制造。矢网实测结果表明:各通道功率配比为-7 dB±1 dB,各通道插入损耗约1 dB,3 dB相对带宽为20%(175 GHz~220 GHz),且通道间隔离度均优于20 dB,略逊于仿真结果。研究结果表明,该四路功分网络不仅能够实现各通道的功率均分、通道间高隔离性能,且具利于高频段扩展和CNC制造的结构。

       

      Abstract: The next generation of terahertz receivers is developing rapidly in the direction of multi-pixel. This paper aims to develop a four-channel power divider network with high isolation for the local oscillator application requirements in 220 GHz multi-pixel receiver system. The performance verification of this actual module is verified based on the computer numerical control (CNC) technology. The main contents include: designing a 3 dB waveguide directional coupler unit, constructing a four-channel power division circuit plane structure based on the high isolation characteristic of 3 dB waveguide coupler, designing the power division network with vertical compact structure for the local oscillator in 2×2 array receiver through cascading waveguide elbows, and manufacturing this four-way power division network based on the CNC technology. The measurement results based on the vector network analyzer, exhibit that the power divided ratios in each channel is -7 dB ± 1 dB, the insertion loss in each channel is about 1 dB, the 3 dB fractional bandwidth is 20% from 175 GHz to 220 GHz, the isolation between channels is better than 20 dB, which are slightly poor than the simulations. The research results have verified that this four-way power division network can obtain the equal power distribution of each channel, high isolation performance and easy-to-be manufactured structures.
