Abstract:
Electromagnetic imaging technology based on intelligent metasurfaces has broad application prospects in necessary social fields such as factory automation, security, human-computer interaction and medical assistance. This revolutionary technology is highly anticipated, effectively improving the accuracy and scope of information perception and understanding, thereby driving profound changes in various application fields. This paper reviews the two main components of intelligent electromagnetic imaging technology, image reconstruction and electromagnetic wave modulation, with particular emphasis on the key role of deep learning and metasurface technology in this field. Then, various innovative methods of metasurface-based intelligent electromagnetic imaging systems are comprehensively reviewed, the core feature of which is the skillful combination of artificial intelligence, electromagnetic metasurface technology, and electromagnetic imaging technology. Finally, the future research directions of intelligent electromagnetic imaging are discussed, including the potential development directions and the development prospects of practical applications. The possible challenges in this emerging interdisciplinary research field are also discussed. With the continuous progress of electromagnetic imaging technology based on intelligent metasurfaces, more opportunities and innovations will be ushered in the corresponding vital areas.
