Abstract: The Genetic Algorithm is employed to optimize the broadband matching networks.The optimal topology and element parameters of the network can be searched simultaneously by properly coding.A design example is given and shows that the performance of the matching network is better than that which obtained from the real frequency method.It shows that the Genetic Algorithm is an effective method for designing matching networks.
