Abstract: Limitation in the application of the Standing-Traveling Wave Boundary Condition (STWBC) and the mechanism of its error are discussed. A correction factor to reduce the error is presented. The analyses indicate that the STWBC is available only for normal or approximately normal incidence with respect to truncation boundaries.
