Abstract: High power ultra wideband(UWB) electromagnetic pulse sources are important for a variety of potential applications such as impulse radar, mine detection, microwave weapon. This paper reviews recent progress in fast, high voltage switches and UWB antenna development and discusses the technical challenges and developing prospect to further research on UWB sources.
