Abstract:
The scattering and radiation prediction of 3D objects are often treated with EFI E MoM, where the basis function is one of the important factors affecting the a ccuracy and efficiency of the method. When the shape of the target is more compl ex, it becomes more difficult to generate pure triangle or quadrangular meshes w ith high quality and low quantity that specially suit for moment method. A new k ind of hybrid local basis function based on mixed style meshes is presented to alleviate the problem. It can also be used in the case of line antennas mounted on the metal carrier so that the attachment part can be simulated by good behav ed triangle attachment basis function and the other part of the carrier can be s imulated by quadrangular/hybrid basis function in order to reduce the number of unknowns. The radiation and scattering parameters of some complex shaped samples are calculated. The accuracy and efficiency of the proposed approach are demons trated by numerical results.
