Abstract: The uniform geometrical theory of diffraction (UTD) is combined with the electromagnetic software HFSS to calculate the antenna on the electrically large conducting plane. Both the efficiency and the accuracy are improved. The monopole antenna at the center of a circular ground plane is calculated. the results show the efficiency of this method.
