Abstract:
To meet the measuring requirement of advanced radar missile radomes,a high performance radome measurement system(RMS) has been successfully designed and built in terms of the principle of"electrical calibration ",through solving the technical difficulties on selecting and realizing the system's detection function,enlarging radome scan angle,and developing software package,etc.The system has featured not only with high measurement accuracy for Boresight Error(BSE)) and a wide radome scan angle range,excellent repeatability for testing curves,and being convenience for manipulation.This paper introduces the system construction and operational principles,analyses the key technical difficulties and solving methods in the procedure of system development.Furthermore,the primary technique specifications and some significant system features are briefly summarized.
