Abstract:
The formula of measured phase-error caused by finite test distance is expanded from one-dimension radiator source to two-dimension radiator source.Different from the traditional method which only studies the absolute phase error of one single direction,a new method based on the attempt to reconcile the phase error of different directions at finite measurement distance with that of far field is presented.Based on the antenna phase center anechoic chamber calibration method introduced by the paper6,the phase error induced by finite measurement distance is numerically analized.so as to find conditions to satisfy some phase error accuracy during finite distance measurement. Two antenna phase center calibration examples are provided to verify the accuracy of the analysis method.
