Abstract: This paper presents a method for analyzing characteristic of finite difference time domain（FDTD） based on system function.The analytical solution is obtained from FDTD iteration equation with combinatory algorithm.The expression of system function is achieved through the z-transformation of the solution.The characteristics of FDTD are analyzed by system function in different cases.The result of simulation validates the theoretical ones.
