Abstract:
A vehicle flying in the atmosphere at high velocities becomes surrounded by plasma sheath that affect the propagation ofelectromagnetic waves to and from the vehicle. This thesis concentrates on some of key problems about propagation ofelectromagnetic wave in plasma sheath. A numerical simulation of irflow around vehicle using dynamic equations and thek-epsilon turbulence model is investigated. The electron density distribution obtained by using quilibrium chemistry model and theamount of attenuation of the signal is calculated. According to the "electromagnetic window" schematic, the ropagation tromagnetic wve in an inhomogeneous magnetized medium is simulated. Simulation results demonstrate the method is veryeffective in attenuation diminution. These sions are meaningful in theory and practice research on reentry communication.
