Abstract:
It is presented in this paper that the method of using meander line dipole for miniaturize the size of Log-PeriodicDipole Arrays. The meander line dipole lengthen the current path in order to miniaturize the size of LPDA. And the efficiencies ofminiature is researched by using trigonal, sinusoidal and rectangular meander line dipoles for arms of LPDA respectively. Thesimulation results show that using meander line dipole for LPDA is the effective method of LPDA size miniature, and the lowfrequency of rectangular dipole LPDA is lowered about 19% compared to the conventional LPDA. The miniature efficiency is notonly relative to the length of meander line, but also the linetype and width of the meander line.
