Abstract:
This paper presents the design and simulation of a Ku band microstrip cross-coupled hair-pin resonator bandpass filters based on generalized Chebyshev theory. Cascaded quadruplet (CQ) cross-coupled schemes were used here. Cross coupling was introduced and on each side of the passband one transmission zero was generated. This makes the filter not only have better selectivity, but also more compact. The initial design can be obtained by using Ansoft HFSS software based on full wave simulation. The simulation result of the filter presents good performances. Compared to the conventional microstrip filters, cross-coupled filters have sharper cutoff and have a significant impact on engineering application.
