Abstract:
The finite difference time domain (FDTD) method is used to study the coupling effects of the ultra-wide spectrumelectromagnetic pulse(UWS-EMP) to the thin wire structure of different length in free space, and the induced currents in themidpoint of wires are attained. The studies indicate that: the UWS-EMP of different pulse width lend to different induced currents inthe aspect of amplitude and waveform, the change of the thin wire’s length can also lend to it. That is to say, the induced currents arecorrelative to the pulse width as well as the length of the thin wire. We call it is that different length have different susceptible pulse, and the rule is also could be get.
