Abstract:
A novel compact dual-frequency printed monopole antenna for WLAN application is proposed in this paper. Theantenna owns the feature of practicability and can be easily integrated into wireless communication equipments. By combiningsymmetrical S-shaped strips and a coupling-fed plate, fed by a 50Ω microstrip transmission line, wide impedance bandwidthscovering WLAN/2.4/5.2/5.8 is achieved. The structure of the proposed antenna is compact , fabricated and integrated easily with asize of 20 mm×34.5 mm ,which is suitable for wireless communication applications. The effect of the different parameters on theantenna is given in this paper.
