Abstract:
A kind of printed director antenna with trapezoid active dipole is proposed in this paper, which is fed by a balancedmicrostrip line. The simulation of the impedance characteristic of the trapezoid printed active dipole is given above all. Thenimprovements based on this model are presented, first a reflector is added, afterward the reflector and director are added at the sametime. The impedance characteristic and radiation characteristic are simulated, and the antenna is manufactured and measured.Simulation results and measurement results show that the antenna adding reflector and director can operate at 2.0~2.45GHz, and therelative bandwidth will be 20.2%, and the gain will be 6dB within the frequency band. The antenna has smaller size (60mm×65mm),and can be used in the mobile communications.
