Abstract: In this paper, we investigate the characteristics of a novel triple-band planar monopole antenna suitable forhandset terminals. The structure combines bending parts and slots to achieve operation at 3 different bands which areGSM900M（890MHz~915MHz），DCS1800M（1.71GHz~1.88GHz），Bluetooth（2.4 GHz ~2.48 GHz）, along with goodefficiency, at all of these frequencies with a single antenna. This kind of antenna is easily to be built in mobile phone and widelyused in communication .
