Abstract:
A Ka-band eight-way spatial power combiner, which is based on the branch-waveguide coupler and spatial power technology, is presented. The structure has advantages of low insertion-loss, high power combining efficiency, low VSWR and Compact structure. In the range of 31~36GHz band, the measured gain is 17.5~19.5dB, and the average saturate output power is higher than 10W and the operation efficiency is more than 13%. Moreover, the overall power combining efficiency is above 72.5% and the highest power combining efficiency is over 90%.
