Abstract:
We present a design of balanced configuration doubler based on planar schottky diodes. The balanced configuration is accomplished through the variation of electromagnetic field mode of input and output signal, and make diodes work in varactor mode by controlling signal power and bias voltage. We get the optimum embedding circuits by the co-simulation of HFSS and ADS. The best conversion efficiency is 21% when signal power is 50mw, the conversion loss is less than 8dB at the output frequency from 212 to 235 GHz band.
