一种宽带圆极化波束切换微带天线的设计与实现

    Design and Realization of Broadband Circularly Polarized Beam-Switched Microstrip Antenna

    • 摘要: 以海事卫星通信“动中通冶系统为应用背景,提出一种控制方法简单和可实现性好的宽带圆极化波束切换微带天线。采用四点连续旋转探针激励结合小型化馈电网络技术进行单元天线设计,展宽了天线的阻抗带宽和圆极化带宽,并通过组阵进一步提高天线增益;采用威尔金森功分器结合PIN 二极管开关移相器进行简易功分移相控制,并通过电容补偿技术显著改善微带开关匹配,展宽多波束切换电路的带宽。最终加工制作了用于海事卫星通信的二阵元三波束切换天线实物,并进行了实验测量。测试结果表明:在整个海事卫星通信工作频段内天线驻波比小于1.5,能够实现-20°~20°空间波束切换覆盖,增益达到9dB,且圆极化性能良好,验证了设计方案的正确性。

       

      Abstract: A broadband circularly polarized beam-switched microstrip antenna easy to be controlled and realized has been proposed based on "Satcom on the Move" for maritime satellite communication application. The impedance bandwidth and circular polarization bandwidth of the antenna element have been broadened by using four probe phase serial rotated feed network design with the miniaturization technology. And the antenna gain has been enhanced by using an antenna array. The Wilkinson power divider and PIN diode switch phase shifter are used to control power distribution and phase difference. A broadband multi-beam forming network has been realized through the capacitor compensation technology to improve the microstrip switch circuit matching. The final three beam-switched two element antenna array for maritime satellite communication has been made and tested. The measured results show that the VSWR of the proposed antenna is lower than 1. 5 during the whole INMARSAT work band. The antenna can achieve -20 degrees to 20 degrees of space beam coverage with gain of 9dB and good circular polari-zation performance. It verifies the validity of the design scheme.
