Abstract:
In this paper a novel compact tauren double band-notched CPW fed antenna is proposed, which consists of a tauren-shaped monopole patch with U-shaped slot and two U-shaped branches, and both of the structures are printed on the same side of a substrate and fed by a coplanar waveguide (CPW). The simulated and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed antenna can obtain the double band-notched feature within the band width of 3.3~3.8GHz and 5.0~5.5GHz,the impedance band-width can achieve from 2.1 to 14.4GHz(VSWR<2) ,which is more than 149%.
