Abstract:
In view of the fact that the resolution sometimes is needed to be adjusted in practical applications, a mixed norm shaped beamformer with adjustable resolution is proposed in this paper. The method uses signal sparse characteristics and signal subspace method to reduce the nullings and side lobe, meanwhile based on the property of l2 norm improving denseness solution, it adds l2 norm constraint on the main lobe to increase the gain strength of the main lobe, narrowing the width of the main lobe. The simulation results show that adjusting the weighting coefficient can adjust the main lobe width, sidelobe height and nulling depth, so it realizes the purpose of adjustable resolution. And according to the actual needs, adjusting the weighting coefficients can also realize good tradeoff among the performance parameters.
