基于透射型超表面的宽带线圆极化转换器设计
Design of Wideband Linear to Circular Polarization Converter Based on Transmissive Metasurface

摘要: 提出了一种工作在S波段和C波段的宽频透射型线-圆极化波转换器,其由五层超表面级联而成。超表面正面的金属拓扑结构为对称U 形,背面为连续螺旋。当线极化波垂直入射时,所提出的线-圆极化转换器在2.5~5.6 GHz 内插入损耗小于0.9 dB,透射波轴比小于3 dB,实验结果和仿真基本一致。该极化转换器可用于空间电磁波的极化转换,在大容量微波中继通信领域有一定的应用潜力,对于其他宽带、高透过率线圆极化转换器的设计也有一定的借鉴意义。Abstract: In this work, a wideband transmissive linear-to-circular polarization converter working in the S and C bands is designed, which consists of five layers metasurfaces. The topological structure of the front surface is symmetrical U-shape and the back surface is continuous spiral. Experimental results show that the 3 dB axial ratio working band is 2.5~5.6 GHz, and the maximum insertion loss is only 0.9 dB. The experimental results indicate good agreements with simulations. The proposed structure can be used for polarization conversion of electromagnetic waves. There is some potential applications in the field of large-capacity microwave relay communication. It also has some reference significance for the research of other broadband and high transmittance linear to circular polarization converters.
