Abstract: A quick design method for determining physical dimensions of narrowband waveguide filter is introduced. An explicit function for calculating scattering parameters of coupling windows is proposed. Whereby, one can determine physical dimensions of coupling elements with the help of EM simulators easily. This paper also corrects the central position of the electric cross-coupling hole so that the result is more accurate. At last, the validity is proved by a four-order cross-coupling filter example.
