一种Ka 波段片式相控阵天线集成化设计

    Integration Design of a Ka-band Tiled Phased Array Antenna

    • 摘要: 介绍了一种256 通道的Ka 波段宽带片式相控阵天线的高集成设计方案,加工了实物并进行了测试。通过合理布局,借助低温共烧陶瓷(LTCC)工艺及三维堆叠等技术,实现了天线单元、T/R 组件、综合层及电源模块等在天线口径内的高密度片式集成,整个有源相控阵天线的高度有效降低至约15 mm。设计上,通过基板挖腔及参数优化,将贴片封装天线的相对工作带宽扩展至17.1%;高密度的三维堆叠技术实现了T/R 组件的小型化及轻薄化设计;在综合层内合理设置高密度的导热孔及导热球,将组件热量有效传导至冷板,从仿真来看整个天线阵面的温升仅约30 ℃。测试结果表明,该片式相控阵可在部分频段实现±30°的波束扫描而不出现栅瓣,法向波束的第一副瓣低于-12.9 dB。所设计的片式相控阵天线具有大带宽、高集成及二维可扩展等特点,有较高的工程应用价值。

       

      Abstract: In this paper, a wideband and highly-integrated tiled active phased array antenna (APAA) with 256 elements in Ka band is introduced. By using the low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) process and three-dimension stacking technology, the high-density integrations of antenna, T/ R module, integrated network, and power supply module are realized within the antenna aperture. The height of the entire APAA is sharply decreased and only about 15mm. In detail, the -10 dB impedance bandwidth of the patch antenna is largely broaden to about 17. 1% by means of digging substrate cavity and structural optimization; the miniaturization and lightweight design of T/ R modules are realized using the highdensity three-dimension stacking technology; The metal holes and ball grid array under the module help conduct its heat to the cold plate effectively, and the simulated temperature rise of the entire APAA is only about 30 ℃. The measured results show that the tiled APAA can partially achieve a scanning range of ±30° without grating lobes. The sidelobe level is lower than -12. 9 dB. In summary, this proposed tiled APAA has advantages of wide bandwidth, high integration and scalability in two dimensions, and has high engineering application value.
