Design of Miniaturized Power Amplifier Based on Hairpin Microstrip Bandpass Filter

摘要: 基于发夹式微带带通滤波器提出了一种3.5 GHz 频率的小型化功率放大器。采用将级联耦合微带线进行“U”型化处理来缩小输出匹配电路尺寸,可直接匹配至50 Ω 负载,无需设计基波匹配网络。该滤波器是基于三阶Chebyshev 低通原型滤波器参量,奇偶模阻抗分析用于计算滤波器参数,且具有高选择性带内响应和强带外抑制能力。实测结果显示,在3.2-3.7 GHz 频段内,饱和输出功率高达41.2 dBm,饱和漏极效率在50.2%-61%,增益大于10 dB。Abstract: This paper proposes a miniaturized power amplifier at 3. 5 GHz based on the the hairpin microstrip bandpass filter. The cascade coupled microstrip line is “U” shaped to reduce the size of the output matching circuit, which can be directly matched to 50 Ω load without designing the fundamental matching network. The filter is based on the parameters of the third-order Chebyshev low-pass prototype filter and has high selective in band response and strong out of band suppression. The odd and even mode impedance analysis is used to calculate the filter parameters. The test results show that at 3.2-3.7 GHz, the saturated output power is up to 41.2 dBm, the saturated drain efficiency is 50.2% - 61%, and the gain is greater than 10 dB.
