Abstract: In this paper, a low profile, L-band printed dipole element antenna with broad bandwidth is developed. First, the input impedance of the printed antenna is analysed by using the method of moments. Then, broadband complex impedance matching networks are optimized.Finally, the experimental studies are made.14% bandwidth with VSWR below 1. 2 is achieved agreeable to the optimized results.
