Abstract: High power microwave weapon is a developing strategic and tactical weapon. Great progress has been made in recent years. Microwave bomb is one mode of high power microwave weapons. The concept, principle and effectiveness of microwave bombs are introduced. The state of the art in U. S. A. and Fore-Soviet Union is reviewed emphatically and the technical difficulties and developing tendency are pointed out in this paper.
