Abstract: The characteristic impedances of pairedstrip with zero and finite thickness are calculated by FDTD method, and its validity is illustrated by comparing with the microstrip formula. The ridged pairedstrip is analyzed by FDTD method, and the relationship between size and characteristic impedance is provided with figures. In addition, a new approximation formula with satisfied accuracy is obtained on the basis of the data set.
