Abstract: By an analysis of radiation and scattering mechanism of microstrip antennas, a unified circuit model is derived, on the base of which the contradiction of RCS reduction and antenna operation is showed, finally the idea of RCS reduction out of operation is introduced and two simple and effective techniques are also given.
