Abstract: In this paper, an effective method of multibeam smart antennas pattern synthesis for base station using digital beamforming technique is presented. By synthesizing multibeam pattern of circle array, well isolated multipole beams are obtained, and the sidelobe levels are limited below 30dB. Results are satisfactory. this method can be applied to multibeam synthesis for arbitrary set of nonuniform elements, as well as beam width stretch and sector shaped beamforming.
