Abstract: A type of loop antenna used for Y7-200A airplane is given. The antenna is locat ed on the front edge of the vertical stabilizer. It is conformal with the config uration of the plane. The antenna is analyzed based on the transmission line and slot antenna theory. The import impedance,effect of the antenna with the KHF95 0 transceiver are studied in detail. The results of test indicate the antenna ca n be tuned satisfactorily with the KHF950 transceiver between 2.5MHz to 30MHz, a nd can be used in Y7-200A plane to replace the HF-wire antenna. This antenna i s first used for large aircraft made in China.
