Abstract: Time domain methods are popular and efficient in computational electromagnetics. This paper begins with a brief overview of the principles and characteristics of typical methods.On the basis of that it provides a summary of relevant hybrid methods,and then puts the emphasis on the application of signal processing techniques in time domain methods.Finally,the authors express the challenges confronted and the future anticipated in this research field.
