Abstract: In this paper,a new spherical helical antenna which has relatively small volume and high gain is studied.The radiation characteristics and input impedance at two different modes are presented.A new half spherical helical antenna at the taper mode is presented first time.It has smaller volume and provides good shaped pattern which is suitable for LEO satellite communication.
