Abstract:
A compact frequency notched microstrip slot antenna for multiple application is proposed.The antenna is similar to a conventional microstrip slot antenna.To achieve frequency notched characteristic,a cross wide slot and a rectangular stub with a V shaped aperture embedded it are employed.It has been studied both numerically and experimentally for its impedance bandwidth,radiation patterns and gain.As will be seen,an operation bandwidth from 2.4 to 11 GHz for stand wave ratio lower than 2,in which a frequency notched band from5.15 to 5.95 GHz,has been achieved.The antenna can also be used for 2.4GHz WLAN application.Good radiation performance over the entire frequency range has also been achieved.
