Abstract:
A new design project is presented, which is using a bidirectional antenna in the mantling of the tunnel, by analyzing the disadvantages of the high cost that is usually using the leak cable in the mantling of the tunnel at present. What is more, on the basis of the broadband characteristics of the monopole antenna, using electromagnetic simulation software Ansoft HFSS to model and run, a planar monopole antenna is designed and implemented, which has good impedance characteristics at the band of 1.392 ~ 4.500GHz. The relative bandwidth is more than 100%, and the horizontal radiation patterns are twoway distribution along the tunnel. The experimental results coincide with the simulation. It is characterized by compact and easily realized size. Besides, the antenna is installed on the wall. It is easy, stable and lowcost.
