Abstract:
A wideband antenna array is designed based on elliptical printed dipole. Array elements and feeding network are printed on the same dielectric substrate. So it is easily machined and integrated. The structure parameters which affected the electric performance of the antenna are analyzed. The optimized parameters are obtained. An experimental antenna is simulated and measured. Good agreement is obtained between the simulated and measured results. Results show that the array’s VSWR is below 2.0 from 2.32GHz to 5.48GHz and has good directional radiation patterns in this frequency band. Its minimum and maximum gains are separately 17.7dB and 22dB. So the relative bandwidth which can meet both impedance and radiation characteristic requirements is 81%.
