Zeroth Order Resonant Antenna Based on Novel Composite Right / Left Handed Transmission Line

摘要: 通过在共面波导上引入周期排列的缝隙和二阶Hilbert 分形接地曲线,实现了一种新型复合左右手传输线。在等效电路模型的基础上,利用HFSS 和Serenade 软件对该传输线的电路参数进行了拟合。拟合出的电路参数表明:该传输线可以用于设计具有较宽带宽的小型化零阶谐振天线。作为验证,设计并制作了一个两单元零阶谐振天线。实验结果表明:该天线比之前报道的复合左右手零阶谐振天线具有更小的电尺寸和更宽的工作带宽。基于这些优点,该天线可以用于现代通信系统中。Abstract: A novel composite right/ left handed transmission line is proposed by inserting periodic gaps and 2 iteration Hilbert fractal grounded curves into a CPW. The equivalent circuit for the proposed composite right/ left handed transmission line is shown, and the circuit parameters are extracted. The extracted circuit parameters show that the proposed composite right/ left handed transmission line can be used to design compact zeroth order resonant antennas with wider bandwidth. As verification, a two unit cell zeroth order resonant antenna based on the composite right/ left handed transmission line is de signed and fabricated. The measured results show that the antenna provides smaller electronic size and wider bandwidth than reported composite right/ left handed zeroth order resonant antennas. These prominent performances make the antenna good candidate for modern wireless communication system.
