    Design of a Ka Band 200W High Linear Solid State Power Amplifier

    • 摘要: 介绍了一种Ka 频段200W 高线性度固态功放的工程实现。采用混合式功率合成与波导功率合成相结合的技术路线,在Ka 频段实现了近百路的高效功率合成。功放共合成了96 个功放芯片,连续波输出功率可达250W;针对功率器件线性度不足的现状,采用射频预失真技术优化其线性度,三阶互调指标优于-33dBc,改善幅度最高达15dB;固态功放设计中充分考虑了工程化与产品化性能,结构外形标准、散热性能良好,并配置了完善的控保功能,在可靠性及实用性方面均初步达到工程使用的要求。

       

      Abstract: This paper introduces an engineering realization of a Ka band 200W high linear solid state power amplifier (SSPA). By adopting hybrid and waveguide power combining technologies, a continuous wave output power of 250W can be realized at Ka band with 96 channels combined. In order to improve its linearity, RF predistortion technology is applied. And the third order intermodulation is better than -33dBc which the improvement is up to 15dB. To meet engineering and productive requirement, a standard configuration and good heat dissipation are designed. The control and maintenance func tions are provided, the operation and reliability are both met the engineering requirement.
