Abstract: The challenges of microwave and millimeter wave test & measurement instruments are analyzed. The research progresses of frequency extending,electromagnetic environment simulating,transient time-varying signal capturing, modeling nonlinear network and multifunctional comprehensive testing are introduced. The development problems of microwave and millimeter wave test & measurement instrument are analyzed. The future tendencies of microwave and millimeter wave test & measurement technology are foretelled.
