Abstract:
In this paper, we present a kind of wireless power transfer (WPT) system based on the effects of enhanced coupling with negative-permeability metamaterials. Firstly, we used the method of magnetic dipole approximation to model and analysis the transmission characteristics of the WPT system with loading negative-permeability metamaterial. Then, a miniaturized WPT system was designed based on the theoretical model, which is verified by simulation and experiment. The experiment results show that when the WPT system is loaded the negative-permeability metamaterial plate, the efficiency can be effectively enhanced from 0. 7% to 22% when the distance of the two-coil is 10cm, and the attenuation rate can be re duced with the loading of the metamaterial plate.
