Abstract:
A novel ultra-wideband monopole antenna with band-notched characteristics is proposed. With a bandwidth of 3. 1 ~12. 0 GHz, by fabricating symmetric trapezium structure, a reversed C-shaped slot in the center and a rectangular slot on the patch, besides, the narrow rectangular ground with a rectangular slot on one side and two edges are moved, the notch band of 3. 3 ~5. 35 GHz are obtained. The proposed antenna has a compact volume of 20 mm×25 mm×1. 0 mm. A prototype is designed, simulated and optimized. Results show that this antenna has nice band-notched characteristics for WiMAX, C band, digital radio system, large capacity microwave communication and partial WLAN band, also good perform- ance and radiation characteristics during its operating frequency band.
