Design and Implementation of A Spaceborne L-band Phased Array Antenna

摘要: 文中设计并实现了一种应用于低轨互联网星地通信的L 频段星载相控阵天线。该天线阵列由4×4的方形正交对称振子阵元构成,阵面尺寸为340 mm×340 mm,其中15 个阵元组成接收单元,1 个阵元作为发射单元置于整阵的一角。由电磁仿真结果可知,在1. 60~1. 75 GHz 频带内,接收天线单元有VSWR<1. 5、轴比小于2 dB 的圆极化辐射性能;在120°扫描范围内,增益在12. 7~16. 4 dB 范围。在微波暗室对无源天线阵列和射频接收前端集成的有源相控阵单元进行了校准与测试,结果表明接收相控阵实现了正确的波束指向且具有±60°的大角度扫描特性,有源增益可达83 dB。Abstract: Design and implementation of an L-band phased array antenna on the satellite communication payload for LEO (Low Earth Orbit) Internet satellite-to-earth communication are finished in this paper. The antenna array consists of 4×4 square orthogonally symmetric dipole elements. The size of the array is 340 mm×340 mm. 15 elements form the receiving unit and one element is placed at one corner of the array as a transmitting unit. The electromagnetic simulation results show that the receiving antenna unit has a circularly polarized radiation performance. The antenna element′s VSWR is less than 1. 5 and axial ratio is less than 2 dB at the frequency range of 1. 60-1. 75 GHz; The gain of the array in the 120° scan range is in the range of 12. 7~16. 4 dB. The active phased array unit integrateal by passive antenna array and RF receiver is calibrated and tested in a microwave anechoic chamber. The test results show that the receiving phased array has achieved the correct beam direction and has a large-angle scanning feature of ±60°, and the active gain can reach 83 dB.
