    Simulation and Experimental Analysis of Plane Wave Generator Performance in Non-ideal Anechoic Chamber

    • Compared with the conventional direct far field or compact antenna test range setups, plane wave generator (PWG) can generate plane wave condition with much smaller measurement range, but most of the designs are validated in clean and large anechoic chambers. Based on the measured transfer matrix for the non-ideal anechoic chamber, the PWG excitation coefficient vector is optimized. The quiet zone performance of the simulation and experimental data are basically consistent, which shows that PWG can generate excellent quiet zone performance as well as in non-ideal anechoic chamber.
