A Broad Band Uniplanar Balanced Mixer Using Coplanar Waveguide-Slotline Hybrid-Ring

This paper presents a broad band uniplanar balanced mixer using a coplanarwaveguide-slotline hybrid ring. Experimental results show that the lowest conversion loss is lessthan 5. 5dB,the isolation between RF and LO ports is about 20. OdB from 4. 0 to 5. 2GHz,the vol-tage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of RF port is less than 2. 0 from 3. 8 t0 5. 5GHz,and the VSWRof IF port is less than 2. O for IF below 55OMHz.
