Abstract
Directed-Spread-Spectrum Ultra Wide Band (DS-UWB) is an effective technique that enables coexistence with other radio systems using very short pulses and spread spectrum. However, there are potential interferences among those using the same frequency bands. To mitigate the effects of interference from other radio systems, a novel receiver structure with adaptive multi-antennas and Rake receivers is presented, and compared with the current receivers using simulation test. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the proposed receiver is robust to the environment, and can suppress the narrow band interference (NBI) to the DS-UWB systems.
