    FVTD Algorithm on Unstructured Meshes Using Quadratic Polynomial Reconstruction for 3D Computational Electromagnetics

    • A cell-centered FVTD algorithm on unstructured meshes using least square based quadratic polynomial re- construction is presented to substitute the previous one which uses linear function reconstruction, including the selection of interpolation stencils and the building of the reconstruction function. The numerical validation and the comparison with the FVTD algorithm adopting traditional linear function reconstruction by calculating several typical electromagnetic resonant and scattering problems show that the presented method can greatly improve the dissipation of the algorithm and has the advanta- ges of higher accuracy, reducing CPU time and saving computational memory.
