Analysis of Subrefractive Profile in the Marine Atmospheric and its Effect on the Propagation of Electromagnetic Wave

    • Subrefraction is a kind of anomalous refractive structure which seldom appear in marine atmospheric envi- ronment, hs effection on electromagnetic waves propagation is opposite to that of evaporation duct. A method to get the profile parameters of snbrefraction by using the concept of pseudo-refractivity in evaporation duct theories is presented in the paper. Meanwhile, the difference between evaporation duct with subrefraction and the "anti-duct" effection on electromagnetic wave' s propagation of subrefraction is discussed in detail. The characteristics of "anti-duct" has been validated by the data ob- tained in the experiments arranged in Pintan Island, Fujian, in May , 2002.
