Sampling Rate Requirement of High-Level Quantization Digital Correlation Radiometer

Abstract
The sampling rate requirement of high-level quantization digital correlation radiometer is investigated by analyzing the correlation measured with different sampling rates. The results shows that the sampling rate of high-level quantiza- tion digital correlation radiometer does not need to satisfy the Nyquist sampling theorem, the variance of the correlation de- pends on the number of uncorrelated samples. Using a correlation radiometer of an 8ram band synthetic aperture microwave radiometer prototype, the experiment to measure the correlation with different sampling rates is carried out, which demonstrates the analysis.
